Unveiling: A Journey of Transformation and Compassion
Since last year, something unexpected has been happening to me. Through my studies and training to become a practitioner, I’ve discovered that I’ve been undergoing a personal transformation.
I call it "unveiling." Things that were once hidden, misunderstood, or buried deep inside are now coming to the surface.
With each revelation, I’m gaining a new, more conscious way of seeing things, things I hadn’t noticed before.
It’s like I’ve developed a new lens, one with a fresh perspective and greater discernment.
Unveiling is not just about discovering what's hidden; it’s about being open and allowing yourself to be seen. Yes, it's vulnerable, and yes, it's exposing.
But there’s a beauty in this process, because when we are truly seen, we experience compassion. That’s the essence of it all. Compassion is the key that makes unveiling beautiful.
When I talk to potential clients, or when I’m working with current clients, I always encourage them to push past the fear and uncertainty they feel. Because it’s in those moments, when we step into the unknown, that we find compassion.
It’s like a grace, a comfort, and a support that we didn’t even know was inside us all along.
Whether we’ve been shaped by our circumstances, have experienced loss, pain, or emotional upheaval, there is always a way through it. There’s a way to embody the discomfort, to sit with it, and even feel thankful for the challenges we face.
Because when we tap into compassion and open ourselves to greater awareness, we can sit in the uncomfortableness and feel more resilient. It’s a powerful tool that helps us navigate the messiness of life.
At Soulroots Therapy, we use a modality called Root Cause Therapy to assist in this process. Root Cause Therapy is a healing method that allows us to identify and understand the triggers, patterns, and cycles that have shaped our lives. It gives us a way to explore the subconscious mind, helping us discern and process what has been held in the body.
Trauma and patterns are often passed down through generations, encoded in our DNA. Or perhaps our childhood environment or undeveloped psyche didn’t have the tools to process the emotions and beliefs we were exposed to. These unresolved experiences create a ripple effect, impacting our lives in ways we may not fully understand. We often find ourselves reacting on autopilot, triggered by old patterns we haven't yet learned to break.
But when we "unveil”, when we open up our awareness and build this lens of inquiry, we begin to release those emotions, ideals, and beliefs that were never fully processed. We start to see through the lens of our adult self, able to discern past events and feelings with clarity and truth. Root Cause Therapy helps us in this unveiling process. It untangles the knots, allowing us to transform from within, intuitively and consciously.
Our journey of growth begins with awareness. As we become more conscious of our patterns, we can PAUSE, REFLECT, and OBSERVE.
This creates space for us to choose differently. We notice things we never saw before, which empowers us to create change, set boundaries, and make choices that once felt impossible.
Ultimately, unveiling is about becoming the best version of ourselves. It’s about showing up for ourselves, stepping into life with grace, resilience, and courage.
And when we do this, we not only heal ourselves, we inspire those around us to do the same.
